Group Therapy Programs at Quazaar Demo Services

Behavioral & Mental Health Services | Suite 101

At Quazaar Demo Services, our group therapy programs provide a structured, supportive, and confidential environment where individuals can share experiences, develop practical coping skills, and build meaningful connections. Led by licensed clinicians—including Dr. Darryl Jensen, PsyD—our groups emphasize mutual support and evidence-based psychological tools to help participants navigate life’s challenges alongside others walking similar paths.
Group therapy offers unique clinical advantages: it helps reduce feelings of isolation, allows participants to observe alternative perspectives, and provides a safe space to practice communication and emotional regulation strategies in real time. As part of our integrated campus model, our group sessions align closely with our primary care and individual counseling services, ensuring a cohesive continuum of care.

Specialized Group Focus Areas

  • Anxiety & Stress Management Cohorts: Structured, skills-focused groups utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to identify anxiety triggers, halt panic responses, and build long-term nervous system resilience.
  • Depression & Mood Support Circles: A safe community space focused on behavioral activation, emotional expression, cognitive reframing, and overcoming the daily weight of persistent low mood and fatigue.
  • Chronic Illness & Pain Adjustment: Dedicated groups for patients navigating life-altering medical diagnoses or persistent pain, facilitated in close partnership with our Primary Care and diagnostic teams to address the emotional burden of physical health conditions.
  • Grief, Bereavement & Life Transitions: Compassionate cohorts designed to help individuals process profound loss, major life shifts, career burnout, or retirement adjustments in an empathetic peer setting.
  • Mindfulness & Emotional Regulation Workshops: Interactive sessions teaching practical breathwork, somatic awareness, and interpersonal effectiveness skills to improve relationships and daily stress responses.

How to Join

Groups meet weekly in the behavioral health suites at our Rapid City campus. To ensure a comfortable, cohesive dynamic for every participant, an initial brief consultation with one of our behavioral health specialists is conducted prior to joining any cohort.
